FAQ about the EOFT

Ticket purchase

You can purchase EOFT tickets online on our website or through our local pre-selling partners. There is no reserved seating on all EOFT events. Here you can find your local pre-selling partner.

Credit card, Paypal or direct credit transfer.

There are many reasons for a faulty credit card payment. Usually the MasterCard® SecureCode™/ Verified by Visa Code is missing. Usually banks are demanding those codes as a mandatory input because of safety reasons. Please contact your bank, in case you have any problems with those codes. If you still have problems, please write us a message via our contact form and put ‘credit card payment’ as reference.

For EOFT tickets and Open Air dates there is no ticket shipping option by post.
Tickets can be purchased online via the EOFT website or via Outdoor-ticket.net or directly from our local pre-selling partners.

We offer discounts for children, pupils and students.

Please make sure that your confirmation mail is not in your SPAM folder. Another option could be that you did enrol with a faulty E-mail address. In case, please send us a message via our contact form and put ‘ticket order’ as reference.

There is no possibility to return your EOFT ticket. Please consider our terms and conditions.

You can easily give away your ticket or sell it on-site of the event. In case there is someone who would like to purchase a ticket, you can sell your ticket at advanced booking price.

Even though there is bad weather on the day of the event, you are not able to return your EOFT Open Air tickets. Basically, each event takes place regardless weather conditions. You can find more information on the website of the different Open Air Cinemas. There is no nametag on the tickets, therefore you can easily give away or sell your ticket.

Yes, you can give away your tickets since there is no related nametag. You just need to pass on your ticket-PDF.

There is no reserved seating at our events. You can freely choose where to sit.

Event sold out?

In case an EOFT event is marked as ‘sold out’ on our website, it does not mean that there are no tickets available anymore.

Our pre-selling partner usually sells EOFT tickets and often still has tickets available even if our online contingent is exhausted. You can find our local partner under event reviews.

There is no set ticket contingent for our box office. In case press/guest cards are not used, we do offer those for purchasing just in time before the event.

1.5 h before the event starts, we collect names of those who are interested in purchasing a ticket. In case there are spare tickets available, we sell those tickets 5-10 minutes before the event starts. So better come early since there is a greater chance to get tickets.

In some cases there are people who would like to sell their tickets on-site. Meeting point is our box office. We are open to connect seller and interested buyer.

In case an EOFT event is completely sold out, you are able to subscribe for the EOFT ticket newsletter. If demand in one city appears very high, we usually organize an additional event. Each member of our ticket newsletter gets a notification via E-mail that there is an additional event in this city or somewhere around.

Film program

The whole film program usually lasted around 120 minutes. With a 15 minutes break, moderation and competition the whole events takes 2.5-3 hours.

Yes, there is a break of 15 minutes after half of the program is shown.

Basically, there is no age restriction for our program. There could be different scenes such as collapses, injuries etc. that could frighten children. Additionally, our program does not finish before 23 pm at night.

The films will be shown in the original language and with local language subtitles (e.g. German in Germany).

Together with adidas TERREX we present the EOFT 2024 programme even more accessible via the GRETA APP! The app enables visually and hearing impaired people to have an accessible cinema experience through audio description or subtitles - Greta 'whispers audio description' and 'plays subtitles'. More info: www.gretaundstarks.de

The Greta app is available free of charge in the AppStore for iOS and on Google Play for Android.

When using the Greta App for the first time, you need to log in / register.
Start the app and select the desired film version, select the desired film and download the corresponding audio description or SDH subtitles.

  • If you want to listen to the audio description of the film, simply plug in your own headphones in the cinema and start GRETA by clicking on Play for the respective film.

  • If you want to use the SDH subtitles for the film, simply click on Play for the respective film.

Now you can sit back and enjoy. The app automatically detects the start of the film and plays the audio description or subtitles in sync with the film.

Helpful for all audio description users: As long as the app is "listening", a heartbeat sound is played. When the app has synchronised, you will recognise it by a short signal.

Helpful for all subtitle users: For even more comfort, you can set the size of the subtitles manually.

You can interrupt the playback of the audio description or subtitles at any time or synchronise manually. When you continue, the audio description or subtitles will automatically be played again at the correct point in the film.
Synchronisation with the film sound takes approx. 3-7 seconds. If there is loud ambient noise, this time may be slightly longer - the app synchronises safely and stably in any case.

Note:
Only available in D, A, CH, BE & LUX. In other countries, please contact our local team or info@moving-adventures.de.

‘Best of EOFT’ is a selection of movies. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to integrate a movie in our ‘Best of’ that was favoured by the audience. In some cases producers would like to sell their DVDs, Blu-rays or downloads on their own.

All of our EOFT-DVDs and Blu-rays do have German subtitles. Subtitles in different languages such as German, English, Dutch, French and Italian are available since ’Best-of-EOFT No. 8’.

DVDs
EOFT DVDs do not have a regional code. Therefore it is readable anywhere but not always playable. EOFT DVDs play 25 pictures per second and do have the PAL-video standard system. This system is not used in all foreign countries, so the DVD can not be interpreted by the DVD player.

Blu-Rays
Our Blu-rays are also activated for different regions (A,B & C). The problem with PAL-system is comparable to DVDs.
